Politic and football, does not match!
There should be no disagreement between football and politics, which hinders the development of the sport. Unfortunately, this is not the case in reality.
A football club that has its future planning clear and precise, can easily have its objectives changed due to a municipal election.
The influence starts already 2-3 months before an election and continues for another month after. This can mean a delay in the entire club’s time planning, as decisions cannot be made without the governance of the municipality being secured.
Who is now responsible for any financial losses that may arise in the event of a long-term political dispute?
In most cases, the politicians are not primarily interested in the development of the sport. Instead they are mostly only gaining for the “powerplay” of the Townhall!
Additional problems may arise from new demands from the football federation, which do not consider the political situation. They can now require new investments to meet new rules for spectators as well as the players.
Finally, the political situation can become a big problem, which should not exist!
