Who will be the winner in the 4th round?
It’s getting hot in both corners of the ring in the match between Trump and Sanchez.
After the first 3 rounds, Trump barely leads Sanchez in points. Now the 4th round has begun, with a strong advantage for Trump. The G7 conference has just started in Ankara, Turkey, and when discussions are underway regarding the 5% target that has been set for all EU members, as a contribution to NATO.
Donald Trump speaks out directly against Spain and its leadership and calls Sanchez a bad person who does not live up to the expectations that he should. (It is well known in all circles that an unparalleled corruption scandal is under investigation with Pedro Sanchez’s government employees, as well as his wife and brother.) In addition, Donald Trump says that the United States will end all economic relations with Spain, until further notice.
At a later press conference with Pedro Sanchez, he does not touch on any of Trump’s statements, instead starting to joke about the World Cup, which is currently underway and Spain is ready for the quarterfinals. There was a strong nervousness in Sanchez’s way of dealing with members of the press and he quickly left, like a sad dog.
Some Spanish newspapers and news outlets are trying to smooth out the significance of the US breaking off economic relations and mostly talking about the fact that it cannot affect increased punitive tariffs.
The tariffs is not the big danger either, in recent years American heavy investors have shown great interest in Spain and trillions of USD have been invested in Spanish projects and companies. If this is stopped, a clear break in Spanish industrial investment will occur, and this is due to Pedro Sanchez’s unwillingness to meet the US with some kind of settlement.
The Spanish government is dependent on former terrorists and extreme left parties for Sanchez to be able to continue as Spain’s prime ministers. These groups are clearly against Donald Trump’s actions and rather support terrorist groups such as Hamas and the Iranian leadership, which is why Sanchez cannot have his own power and make own dessicions.
We’ll see how this 4th round ends, maybe it will be a knockout before the 5th round starts?
