Inventions: Good and Bad Ideas That Changed Our World!
Inventions have always been the engine of human progress. Some ideas push us forward, solving problems we once thought impossible. Others, however, create new challenges or even unexpected dangers. Between brilliant creativity and risky experimentation, every invention carries a story — and a consequence. In this article, I explore both sides: the good ideas that shaped our world, and the bad ones that remind us that not every innovation is a step in the right direction.
I have personally used much of my time creating inventions. During a time of my life, in the 1970-80th,
my ideas came at nights, around 3 am! A few times I was woken up by a crackling sound in my head and woke up wide awake, with a whole new idea.
I always had a notebook next to my bed so I could write down my “flashes”. The next day I started to evaluate what I had written down. Some ideas were too advanced and needed expert input.
It may have been the strangest things like, an oil spill cleaning vessel, a vertical turbine
wind power generator, UFO powered by magnetic fields and a storage system, or a simple water walking shoe……!
Some of this idea now exists later and one of them was registered as US/EU registered patent.
But my big mistake was that I never had enough working capital and therefore most of the “inventions” are in the desk drawer.

Others will the future tell us about…. I used lots of time, but I will never say that I lost
this time, as I also invested lots of money in many cases.
This was one of my Time-Zones, as an inventor! I lived in
an advanced time having futuristic “crazy” ideas that maybe will
become reality one day.
The Great, Leonardo da Vinci, also “lived in the future”!

“Leonardo da Vinci, conceived ideas vastly ahead of his own time, conceptually inventing the parachute, the helicopter, an armored fighting vehicle, the use of concentrated solar power, a calculator, a rudimentary theory of
plate tectonics and the double hull. In practice, he greatly advanced the state of knowledge in
the fields of anatomy, civil engineering, optics, and the study of water (hydrodynamics).”
Never be afraid to do crazy things in life, that is the way
to find out who you really are. Just get organized and use
your time wisely.

Richard Branson also has crazy ideas! But it made him rich! When he bought two islands in the Caribbean, some
people taught he was crazy. But his idea was to keep one as business maker and the other close by, for leisure. That is what I call, #Quality Thinking.
Futuristic people will never be recognized, until proven that he/she was right! You only must add something more to your imagination, find it, and apply into your mind.

Thomas Alva Edison (1847 – 1931) was an American inventor and businessman who has been described as America’s greatest inventor. He developed many devices in fields such as electric power generation, mass communication, sound recording, and motion pictures. These inventions, which include the phonograph, the motion picture camera, and early versions of the electric light bulb, have had a widespread impact on the modern industrialized world. T. Edison, failed over 100 times, before he succeeded inventing the light bulb!

Elon Musk is a South African-American physicist, economist, business magnate, and technology visionary known for founding and leading some of the world’s most disruptive companies. Frequently considered the richest person on the planet, his stated goal is to transform the future of humanity through space exploration, the transition to renewable energy, and artificial intelligence. His greatest achievements have been inventions, even if some are not his own, he uses the best scientists available to realize his future products such as Tesla Cars, SpaceX, XAI and Starlink. A man of vision, who will contribute to major “crazy” projects to the world.
In the end, inventions are mirrors of human ambition. They show our courage to imagine, our desire to improve, and sometimes our tendency to overlook the consequences. Good or bad, every idea teaches us something. What matters is that we keep thinking, questioning, and creating — because the future will always belong to those who dare to imagine it.
Do it now…Tomorrow can be too late!
