Chinese new year, The Rabbit, starts 22-01-2023,

Welcome to all people, born in the Rabbit years!

The Rabbit is named by the Oriental Zodiac, but some Americans also call this year , The Cat.

I was born in the year of the Rat and have known lovely people born in the year of the Rabbit. Also, some famous people born in the Rabbit years, that I like are, Albert Einstein, Bob Hope, Angeline Jolie, Ingrid Bergman, Harry Belafonte and Frank Sinatra.

Years of the Rabbit include 2023, 2011, 1999, 1987, 1975, 1963, 1951, 1939, 1927.

2023 is a year of the Water Rabbit, starting from January 22nd, 2023 (Chinese New Year), and ending on February 9th, 2024 (Chinese New Year’s Eve). The sign of Rabbit is a symbol of longevity, peace, and prosperity in Chinese culture.

2023 is predicted to be a year of hope, but also to become free of the misfortunes encountered in 2022 and warned to be prepared for troubles and accidents.

The Rabbit is the fourth animal sign in the Chinese zodiac cycle. The 12 zodiac animals are, in order: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, and Pig. Each year has an animal sign according to the 12-year-cycle.

The most compatible zodiac signs for Rabbits are Goats, Dogs, and Pigs.

People born in a year of the Rabbit are called “Rabbits” and are believed to be vigilant, witty, quick-minded, and ingenious.

According to Chinese astrology, Rabbits are predicted to be gentle, quiet, elegant, and alert as well as quick, skillful, kind, patient, and very responsible, sometimes reluctant to reveal their minds to others and tending to escape reality, but always faithful to those around them.

Male Rabbits are characterized by always treating people politely, with a gentle smile that makes people feel that they are credible and sincere. When encountering tough difficulties, they are never discouraged but instead remain persistent in their endeavors to find solutions. This means they eventually achieve enviable success.

Female Rabbits are personified as follows: apart from having a pretty and demure appearance, they have a pure heart. Rabbit women are usually willing to pay any price for peace of mind and solidarity of self. They are also easy company, full of fun, and capable of sanding on their own feet.

Finally, look forward to some world-wide changes, that may affect you. Meanwhile intellectual activity will be rich and durable. Justice will be taken and nobody escapes the long arm of the law in the Rabbit year, 2023.

Thank you for reading my Oriental Zodiac blog.

My first legal trouble in Linden, Georgetown.

In 1964, the 30th of April I signed up at M/s Broland which was in Plymouth Harbor (UK). I left my employment at M/s Trubadur, which was a refrigerated shuttle ship between Europe and the Caribbean. My choice to change ships was mainly because I was told that M/s Broland, which was built in 1956 and was now owned by Rederi AB Timex and was a combined general cargo and bulk carrier, which was bound all over the world. I wanted to get grander views of my sailor’s time!

I was assigned a lovely one-man cabin on the 2nd deck with two large portholes. What a difference to those on the M/s Trubadur, with small steam cabins and a small round porthole at the waterline!

When we left the port of Plymouth, we received our loading destination. We would go directly to British Guiana on the northern coast of South America and be fully loaded with Bauxite. This is an element for the manufacture of Aluminums and consists of a fine grey-white powder.

The sail across the Atlantic was calm except for some unsettled weather when we passed the Azores. Broland was a stable ship with its 18,000 dwt. And a speed of 21 knots.

After 12 days on the high seas, we finally saw at the horizon, South America! It was the northernmost parts of Brazil, with its deep green tropical jungle. We now steered east towards Georgetown, the capital of British Guiana. There we will have to lie on the redden to wait for permission to enter the river Demerara.

While we are located outside the estuary of the river and waiting, several small wooden boats are approaching our ship. It was the locals who welcome us and the children’s jumped into the water, for us to throw in coins that they with great skill dived to catch up on.

It was an amazing “Show”!

After a few hours of waiting, the Pilot comes on board, to assign our Captain about the entrance into the river. Our destination was 105 km further south of Georgetown. A village called Linden and at the time consisted only of a quay for loading, as well as the Bauxite factory.

The journey up the river, which flows north, had to be with slow forward speed, only 7-9 knots. This is so that the wave squalor from the ship would not destroy the vegetation on the shores of these deep rainforests, which lays on port and starboard sides. There was a strange silence as the ship slid slowly forward, the only sound that was heard was from our engine room, but also well as the sound far away in the jungle that consisted of monkeys’ screams and craping birds, an incredibly pleasant experience for me.

It took us almost 12 hours to reach the quay in Linden. But what a sad sight! A dusty harbor area consisting mainly of factory buildings producing this Bauxite. A group of British military police came on board and informed us that we should stay on board for our own safety! This was because the local Indigenous population had begun to rebel against the English-ruled colony.  The premier, Cheddi Jagan, had trouble running the country and had to ask for support from the British military. This is just the circumstances, after a massacre with nearly 200 dead by the locals, as well as about 30 soldiers.

All this happened in the month of May 1964, at the same tim as we were going to load bauxite! The loading was done by means of screw conveyors that drop down this fine dusty product, directly into the holds and would be ready and done within 48 hours. The dust settles all over the ship and makes its way into all areas, it’s going to be a great afterwork of cleaning!

We sailors were disappointed that after almost 2 weeks at sea, as we were now ordered to stay on board, due to political unrest!

From the railing our eyes were drawn east across the river, where we saw a village with several wooden houses embedded in the jungle and heard rhythms from music and people singing…. “Then there must be bars,” said one of my mates. When we asked the dockworkers if there was any bridge close, but were told that the nearest bridge was in the town of McKenzie over an hour south up the river.

Since we wouldn’t be in port for more than 48 hours, it was a bad option. We found out, however, that there was a man with a “Taxi boat” who could take the us over to the other side. Finally there were 6 of us who decided to take the risk and make the crossing.

The boat was colorfully painted, but it was crowded with only six people on board, we offered the owner 2 USD, which he was happy for. When we arrived on the other side, we quickly found a “saloon”, which was full of locals. These partied and danced according to Caribbean rhythms. A lovely sight!

We were kindly received and entertained, but I saw a group of men staring with watch-gazing glances, I thought it was because we looked different. I was wearing blue jeans and a checkered colorful short-sleeved shirt, while they were simply dressed in torn t-shirts and shorts.

After a couple of hours at the bar, we noticed that the local drink served, gave a strangely intoxicating effect. I told my friends we should go back on board; some were hard to persuade, but in the end, we left the bar together. On the way to the “Taxi boat” we passed a wooden pile with timber and boards high up.  Suddenly, a bunch of black-dressed men appeared, as if with such speed that we barely had time to react. (We had been drugged by the drink at the bar!). We were robbed in less than 10 seconds!! I lost my shirt, just a few Dollars’ worth, but the worst was my Timex wristwatch… my confirmation gift of my parents! Similar things had happened to my friends. We were so surprised, by what had happened, that we went directly to the “Taxi boat” and asked the driver to take us back to the opposite side where our ship was loading the Bauxite.

It was only at morning coffee when we met again and began to discuss yesterday’s event. It was our Chief Mate who contacted the port police and they quickly got on board and started questioning us about what had happened. Their bare response was that we had been notified regarding the population on the other side and that we had to blame ourselves …. I was always a calm person, but this time I lost control, and I screamed loudly to them asking, who in the hell rouled the country! The military police previously said that they were not in control on the other side of the river, so they left the ship without answering…

Six sailors had been robbed and now the police did not want to help us, so we decided to take matters into our own hands. We agreed on that we had lack of time, so we decided to visit the other side in 2 groups. The next day, M/s Broland was going to head out to sea again.

The same afternoon we went across the river in two groups. The first group of six took the taxi boat to visit the same bar, while I and five others took us over a little later to hid around the timber board where the assault had taken place.

After a couple of hours of waiting, we hear our friends coming, as agreed. They came singing and seemed drunk. It wasn’t long until at exactly the same place as before, these black-dressed men showed up for another attempt, to rob our friends. At the same time, we counter-attacked, armed with wooden piles and iron pipes! The men were totally surprised by the attack. I saw one of the robbers in the background, wearing my shirt! Without fear, I ran up to him screaming and threatened with my iron pipe telling him to give back my shirt and watch!!

He was a tall man with muscular dark skin, who now pulled out a long knife and we went into close combat, he was bigger and alsow stronger, so I took a few steps back and then attacked with a “Danish skull” in his chest. But just, when I threw myself with my head in front and reached his body, I felt a terrible pain in my back, it was his knife that hit my lower spine! At the same time as he raised his knife again to attack me in lying position, I saw my friend Jens, a gigantic Danish sailor that came up behind him. Jens raised a full rum bottle in the air and struck it into the head of my attacker, the bottle held with the man falling like a log over me. Jens looked at me with a big smile, while holding the bottle of rum in his big hand and shouted loudly, “It’s damn good Rum”!

The battle had been won!! No one else of us had any injuries, but some of our opponents who now run away, were limping.

I was caged by Jen’s bleeding, down to the taxi boat and later was helped aboard the Broland where I was quickly patched up in the infirmary with a couple of stitches in the back.

It wasn’t long before several Military police cars entered the port and stormed aboard. They accused us of assaulting innocent Indigenous people and there could be prison sentences! At this point, our Captain came to our support and said that they were currently on Swedish soil and that he would indeed report their commander to the Swedish Embassy in Georgetown. After this threat from our captain, they left our ship unmeasured…

The next morning, we left the port of Linden and headed north towards the estuary and Georgetown. M/s Broland had been told by the shipping company to take the course for the Panama Canal and later with destination Japan! A journey on the high seas that took 3-4 weeks to then unload the Bauxite cargo in Yokohama.

However, I was not happy with what had happened. During the trip I wrote a long letter, with a clear description of what happened, addressed to the Queen of England! It took over 4 months before I got the answer. But there was a happy surprise, as in the envelope lay a bank check for an amount in Pound, which was well above the value of my Timex watch and other lost possessions. Together with an official excuse!  Now I was pleased with myself, I had won against the authorities!

Now I was looking forward to several exciting experiences on the horizon.

I’ll be back soon with some more, by for now!

My own predictions for the year 2023, by Curt.

My predictions for 2023, can we trust AI?

I believe that the new year of 2023, will give us some surprising news regarding Artificial Intelligence (AI)!

Imagine that an AI robot invents a mega virus, that attacks al main internet servers in the world. It has been proved that AI has the capacity to take decisions above the human intelligence.

But the real danger is not the AI, it’s the people who once made a program based on GIGO (Garbage in garbage out) can have made a political message based on personal philosophy.

If this will happen in a near future, we can become” slaves “under the command of an AI Robot.

We all know that the main search engines are GOOGLE and BING, but from where are all this information based. If all this information will be stored as FAKE, by an AI robot and attacked by its own mega virus, what can we really do about it?

The Covid19, was proved to create an almost world chaos. Billions of international funds were used as a contra attack, but did it really have the effect that we wanted?  ……….  The answer is NO, large pharmacy companies have been making huge increase in sales as well as thousands of business owners who used the crisis to make fortunes. This changed the whole world, by a virus that we still dont know from where it came….or was it created?

We may all have learned more about how vulnerable we really are when the chaos appears. But are we ready to challenge the AI system, before it is to late, or will we all just wait it to happen?

Artificial intelligence is almost everywhere without you even noticing it. With free software, for example, anyone can ask the computer to write a short story or take care of a school assignment. Some consider smart and agile, while others consider the development of AI to be terrifying. Among other things, several successful researchers have expressed concern about how artificial intelligence continues to develop and believe that AI may pose a danger to humanity in the future.”

Of course, I could be completely wrong in my predictions. I always have and still am, a positive thinking person, but what I see as a coming threat is the logical development of AI. Earth has been inhabited by creatures and later humans for an eternity, but it has previously been a natural development determined by universal natural laws.

Does anyone believe that an AI mega robot can help the earth and its people?.… With this question, I leave you to judge the future for yourself.

Thank you for reading my blog.

“Unwrapping the Story of Christmas”

Post by Curt Bergsten, updated 08-11-2025

“From Solstice to Santa: The Journey of Christmas”

Christmas is one of the biggest Christian holidays and is celebrated to commemorate the birth of Jesus.

The Christmas celebration is a tradition with very old historical roots. Ever since the fourth century AD, the celebration has been associated with the birth of Jesus. It was only in 354 AD that the Catholic Church chose to place Jesus’ birth on December 25th. This date thus has no basis in the Gospels.

There is also disagreement between the Catholic and Orthodox churches about the date Jesus was born. Within the Orthodox Church, which still uses the Julian calendar, the Christmas celebration is moved to January 6… (Unfortunately, Christmas has been the cause of many wars, in dispute of what is true.)

The Christian Christmas replaced a holiday that the Romans celebrated in connection with the winter solstice, which falls in the last weeks of December. This was also the case in the Nordic countries (see pre-Nordic religion), and just as in the Roman Empire – and in many other places – the Christian celebration of Christmas came to replace a holiday that the church considered to be a pagan tradition.

The custom of handing out gifts to each other during Christmas already existed in the Middle Ages, but it would take until the 18th and 19th centuries before it became commonplace. From the beginning, it was about giving away simple, often self-made gifts. The Christmas gifts have their origins in the Gospel of Matthew 2:1-12, according to which the baby Jesus received gifts from the eastern zodiac signs. That it was “three wise men” who distributed the gifts is a later construction. )The number of astrologers who distributed gifts is not stated in the Gospel.)

The very word Christmas gift comes from the fact that in farming society people went around knocking on doors, and when the door was opened a wrapped gift was thrown into the house.

During the 19th century and early 20th century, it was customary for the father of the house to dress up as a Santa and hand out the Christmas presents. The children were probably quite frightened when the Christmas goat arrived, which is documented in illustrations painted by, among others, the Swedish artist and writer Elsa Beskow. Today, many families have a Christmas goat in straw under or next to the Christmas tree.

That it is Santa Claus who distributes the Christmas presents is not an old tradition.

It was only at the end of the 19th century that the modern site began to take shape. The artist Jenny Nyström’s fantastic illustrations of Santa created the image of a kind figure, unlike the house elf with gray clothes and red hood that has existed in folklore for centuries. During the 20th century, Santa Claus became commercialized with Coca-Cola’s Santa advertising from the 1930s. Therefore, one could say that our present-day Swedish Santa is a combination of Jenny Nyström’s Santa and the American Santa.

Another phenomenon that many people associate with Christmas is the Christmas tree.

Bringing a tree into the home during Christmas already happened in the Middle Ages, mainly in Germany, and it was supposed to protect against evil forces. The Christmas tree began to appear in Swedish noble homes during the 18th century, and a century later the tree became a popular phenomenon. From the beginning, the tree was decorated with self-made decorations, but already in the 1880s you could buy Christmas ornaments to dress your tree with.

Regardless of who and when Christmas exists, I wish you a nice and long “weekend” during these days, as well as a good end of this year. Wherever you live, enjoy the delicious traditional food that belongs this Christmas.

I will be back before new year!

Are you ready for AI (Artificial Intelegence)?

What is the danger of AI ?

In my last post, “The world is upside down”, I mentioned that most governments are already using AI. But the public has already gained access to the possibility of using AI in daily use.

What could be the consequence of this?…. As most computer literate people know, it is always a physical person who provides the information to a database! This is referred to as GIGO, (Garbage in garbage out), which means if the age first information says 1+1 is 3, then this will be the basic information.

Nowadays, there are “double checks” that prevent such information. But if we now say that a computer creates an AI computer, which is basically human knowledge, wrong or right (GIGO), can we really trust that AI cannot be manipulated for political influence or financial gain?

Below is an example of a company that started a chat page with AI for general use.

ChatGPT: Optimization of language models for dialogue.
“We have trained a model called ChatGPT that interacts conversationally. The dialog format makes it possible for ChatGPT to answer follow-up questions, admit its mistakes, question incorrect premises, and reject inappropriate requests. ChatGPT is a sister model to InstructGPT , which is trained to follow an instruction in a notice and provide a detailed response.”

“We are excited to introduce ChatGPT to get user feedback and learn about its strengths and weaknesses. During the research preview, the use of ChatGPT is free of charge.”

(Following is a comment from Ariel Conn, Founder and President, Magnitude 10 Consulting)

What is at stake?

“Human intelligence has led to the greatest triumphs of humanity, but it is also behind some of history’s greatest catastrophes. So what happens if we create artificial intelligence (AI) that’s significantly smarter than any person? Will it help us reach even greater heights or will it trigger, as some experts worry, the greatest catastrophe of all: human extinction?

Today’s artificial intelligence systems already outperform humans in the tasks they were trained for, especially when it comes to the speed with which they act. In just a matter of seconds, an AI system can play the winning move in chess or Go, translate an article, or plot a route to a given destination while taking into account current traffic patterns.

Though a human requires more time to do any of these, a key aspect of human intelligence is that we can perform all of these tasks. We have what’s known as general intelligence. While AI systems can only perform the tasks they were trained on, a human can learn from context and experience and develop new skills or solve novel problems.

Many experts worry that if an AI system achieves human-level general intelligence, it will quickly surpass us, just as AI systems have done with their narrow tasks. At that point, we don’t know what the AI will do.

AI risk is still emerging today, but could rapidly accelerate if sudden technological breakthroughs left inadequate time for social and political institutions to adjust risk management mechanisms.”

What will happen, I ask myself?

Are we really going to ignore what is happening? Or are we to believe that the new world will be ruled by AI Presidents (tin cans!), will give us humans a valuable life without work? That all work is performed by robots controlled by AI robots and you will receive a salary statement issued by the AI Department. If you believe this, you have been victimized by the GIGO method, and at the same time convinced by AI…!!?

I will be back, in my own writing soon.

Thanks for reading.

Our world is upside down!

Is our world upside down?

In Indonesia, the government just made a new law that sex is forbidden without marriage! While in Spain the extreme left winged government allows sex with anyone, male or female, if you say Si (Yes)!

In Italy and sweden, the unemployment system has tightened the rules of financial compensation, making it more difficult to say no to a work offer. While in Spain, the government are supporting the non-workers with a salary, higher than a normal pension, this to gain more votes for upcoming elections!

The earths answer to the resent failure of COP27, have resulted in the activation of the two largest active volcanos in the world. This will have a negative result for our climate, no matter how much the mega funds will hand out to stop the climate change. Another factor is the effect of the movements of the magnetic poles, that already has changed the two largest ocean currents, EL Niño and The Gulf stream, to take changed directions. This will give huge results in activating storms and hurricanes around the globe, again without control by the leaders of the world’s economy.

Most governments are now using AI (artificial intelligence) information to run their countries, so that they can control the input information! (Garbage in Garbage out!) Wouldn’t it be better to create a human intelligence trust, to solve and give advice to this people allected by voters? Have we forgotten Mr. Einstein and all Nobel price winners around the world, they would know far better than the politics how to manage our Earth.

The latest from the war zones!

Russia resumes talk about nuclear weapons! Iraq is seeking support from the Afghan government to harden their politic and North Korea are war-gaming against Japan!

Stall all stupid wars, that only are created by economic or religious reasons. That would help us to think about the value of people instead of economic gains.

Finally, if someone missed it, we are close to X-Mas! Where have the economic crisis gone? People are spending money like crazy instead of saving for hard upcoming time in next year 2023. All thanks to economic interest by the spending of billions of dollars in advertising to make people forget the true. Or have all these crises just been a joke, invented by the Big Trust?

Anyhow, enjoy the upcoming Christmas and celebrate with your family and beloved!

Thanks for reading, (Grateful for all comments)

I wasn’t all wrong about the results from COP27!

Egypt summit renounces climate action threatens pushback!!

The draft that is being worked on avoids pronouncing on the need to reduce the consumption of gas and oil. The next summit (COP28) will be held in the United Arab Emirates. (Another politic dessicion).

Aware of the disappointment that it has caused, in one of his latest statements, the president of the summit, Sameh Shoukry, put on the bandage before the wound, stating that “the draft that has been released must be understood as a proposal for the negotiation, we now have a long job ahead of us, so I don’t think we should draw hasty conclusions”.

This is a clear defeat of the whole summit, no conclusions and no results!

Leaner ambitions!

The first week of negotiations saw a parade of financial proposals such as the US proposal that poor countries should be able to sell CO2 credits when they shut down their coal-fired power plants. The proposal was immediately criticized because it could lead to rich countries buying credits instead of reducing their emissions. John Kerry defended it by saying that creative solutions are needed to free up private capital for the green transition. ($$$!)

This is just in line what I wrote in my latest article regarding this summit.

None of these financial proposals touch the pain point itself, how emissions are to be halved by 2030!

They (we) are again only thinking about the economic gaining, from huge international funds that finally, only will be activated by 20%, the rest will be used for “administrative costs”!

The negotiations during the meeting revolved around how the climate goals are to be achieved despite the economic crisis that the world is in. There is also discussion about starting a fund so that poor countries can be compensated for the damage that climate change is already causing.

But there is no agreement regarding a fund for “loss and damage”. The parties are far apart. (How strange??)

“The major industrial countries have a responsibility to ensure that the world’s developing countries do not crash countries. You have built your prosperity by exceeding the carbon budget, says Ayisha Siddiqa, from Pakistan”.

Now, let’s talk about the climate for years back.

In recent years, the deadliest Atlantic hurricane was Hurricane Mitch of 1998, with at least 11,374 deaths attributed to it, while the deadliest Atlantic hurricane was the Great Hurricane of 1780, which resulted in at least 22,000 fatalities.

The Galveston, Texas, Hurricane of Sept. 8, 1900. Deadliest U.S. storm disaster with at least 8,000 deaths (possibly 12,000); 120 mph winds; a 20-foot storm surge.

On April 10, 1815, Indonesia’s island of Sumbawa became ground zero for the worst volcanic eruption in modern times—and a chilling example of a widespread climate catastrophe. But at that time, nobody talked about climate change created by tons of ashes in the atmosphere that lowered the temperature on earth, stopping the sunshine. This resulted in large wether changes around the world, but at that time the internet and other news media dod not exist!

Let the scientists and history books present some more facts regarding the real reason to weather changes.

Thank you all for reading.

COP27, days are passing by without results!

How much money should rich countries pay in climate subsidies, how much of the subsidy should go to climate adaptation and who should foot the climate bill?

These are the three key issues at the UN climate conference COP27, which began on Sunday!

This just confirms what I mentioned in my last post about COP27. Why isn’t more scientific evidence of climate change presented?

An environmental group says there is likely evidence of their view of climate change….. Up to real evidence, please!

I experienced climate change in the 50’s and 60’s and can write a report about this, but I can’t see the 2000’s getting much worse. I cannot help emphasizing the important process that occurs naturally, due to the movement of the magnetic poles. This has been confirmed by NASA and other experts in the field.

The earth has always undergone weather changes, but these cannot be solved by economic means! This can only be accomplished by the earth’s population, by respecting nature and their laws!

Now the European Union mentions that new mega funds should be reserved for future climate disasters! They quickly learned their lesson about Covid19, but these capitals are still operating without a safe destination.

I am following with interest what these 10-2000 bunch of people, who have now moved to a resort in Egypt, to solve all problems.

I am sitting at this moment in southern Spain and overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, without finding any major differences in the weather.

Thanks for reading this blog,

COP 27 this year in Cairo 2022.

In this article I will cover the planning of COP 27 and what I believe can happen.

When I first started, three years ago, to wright about this environment conferences called COP things has not really changed at all.

It seems to be more important to announce what famous people are going to attend without naming the real science experts. One frontpage has told us that Ms. Greta Thunberg do not want to get involved into politics and will not attend! Big deal!

Some well-known leaders of world countries will come, others not.

My opinion may not be of importance, but I believe that the COP organization has failed to deliver answers during all this passed years. We are back to basic line without any clear results.

Climate change has always been happening on our mother earth, as well as in the whole universe. The only substantial changes have been the development of modern information systems like internet, telling us how terrible fast, the climate have changed within the last fifty years!

Nothing about the gradually changing of the magnetic poles, with the result of colder weather at the Antarctic’s and warmer at the northern artic. There has been a clear “tilt” by the globe!

If the poles will continue to change, we will finally have a “flip over” with a disastrous result.

Our famous Golf stream as well as the pacific “Niño “have already changed courses, without any protests from world leaders. This have already affected the navigation system used by whales and other living species in the oceans. Why would whales steer right up on the beach, like it has happened in many places worldwide? Yes, a fundamental change of the climate has begun, but do not put the peoples holiday traveling, as the most important thing on earth!

Politics do not like to speak or hear about things that they can not make an influence on!         It is also called, POWER! This will be the discussions on this upcoming COP 27 in Cairo coming week.

The worst hypocrite regarding COP is the massive traveling by the tens of thousands of people, using pollution driven vehicles/airplanes to reach the destination, instead of doing the conference on-line. “Save the planet by spending money,” should be the slogan for COP 27!

Thank for reading, I will be back with a follow up.

Renewable energy.

Gartena is a group of companies dedicated to the development and construction of the next generation of Waste-2-Energy plants. Gartena Holdings Limited is based in the UK. Gartena’s development and engineering team is organized in Gartena Consulting and Installation AB based in Sweden. Gartena also has a sales office in Singapore and Spain.

Gartena was originally formed to capitalize on the Waste-2-Energy experience gained from earlier generations in Sweden and Germany. The work of our current engineers and specialists has been to fully and comprehensively develop these leading designs that Gartena now possesses.

Gartena provides a boost to local economies while freeing the energy trapped in waste. As a result, regions that invest in Gartena’s professional waste management will generate an economically viable waste handling industry bringing increased business opportunities in conjunction with environmental goodwill and energy to their community.

Experience across the globe has demonstrated that the problem of waste management is literally everywhere and, despite the best intentions of politicians and other green groups, they all face difficulties implementing these projects. The consequence of which is that their communities seldom enjoy the economic benefits which such projects can generate.

Gartena endeavours to provide the appropriate guidance and commentary to the relevant governmental authorities who have to deal with the waste management problems they face.

The construction of an Organic Waste Treatment Facility (OWTF), a Sewage Treatment Facility (STF) and an Integrated Waste Management Facility (IWMF) are the key components of Gartena’s vision. They complement each other to produce an integrated waste management system.

A Gartena Waste-2-Energy One Dual Facility (ODF) Plant is central to the goal of a sustainable planet.

The Gartena designed Integrated Waste Management Facility system, with the Patented Rotating Kiln and After-Burning Chamber, will reduce the amount of waste (residual ashes) to be sent to landfill to nearly zero.

Old waste in the existing landfills can be used in the Gartena IWMF system to produce Electricity and Water. As a consequence, the lifespan of a landfill site can be increased greatly. Eventually, some of the landfill areas could be closed and the land put back into productive use.

Our vision is a waste free environment where waste is used to create affordable energy and clean water without emitting pollutions or unusable secondary waste.

Gartena, Our History.

In 1969 Ing. W.E. Wiedermann, Klaus Gärtner and Ulrich Lork met in Hamburg, Germany, to discuss the idea of how to incinerate domestic waste in an efficient and environmental acceptable manner. This was a gigantic problem within Europe, which continues unresolved to this day.

This is a copy made from Gartena web site.
