The Need of Preserving Nature zones, for the Future.

The nature divided mother earth in zones, land, oceans, warm & cold places, rainforests, and desserts. But we, the “modern” raze has not respected or understood the law of nature!

For only five hundred years ago all natural zones were still intact.

I will give you some examples:

  • The rice was only grown in Asia.
  • The potato could only be found in South America.
  • The tropical fruits were not grown in Europa.
  • The different trees and timber used for building and housing grew in their own ambit.
  • The Aztecs in Central America grew maize/corn.
  • The cane sugar, in India.
  • The coffee plant, in Ethiopia and Yemen.

All these plants and trees were at time only used in its origin environment, without trade restrictions!

So, what has all this to do with #timezones?

The fact is that the human raze has changed the whole environment system, mostly for economic reasons.

The natural Zones are gone for good and bad. The worlds #Timezones has not been respected by the population. Take Africa as an example. This continent with its natural resources is the riches place on earth! But why is the poverty so widely spread?

The economic greed, by other countries have practical pumped out all its value. In other continents whole cultural heritage has been destroyed by greed.

How will the future #timezones look like another one hundred years from now? This can not be answered by anyone on this earth! You can not only blame the climate change for all this!

The only way to improve this situation (my opinion) can be a global agreement to give back all regions their rights to its natural recourses, and to strength the economic situation. A system as the copy rights of music, books, and patents could be used in a more sophisticated way. Several of these rights has already been stolen, to leave the owners to live in poverty, another way of greed.

This can be a “natural” way to go back in time and recover the environment balance in this world, and at the same moment solve a large part of the population problem.

All this has to do with the understanding of #Timezones at our globe. A group of people are already looking for other planets to habitat! That is to run away from the reality in a world where you were born.

Remember, that our mother earth will still be here long after we are gone. You are only a tiny little grain and one of billions….

Manage your #Timezones wisely while you still can and enjoy our natural life.

Your Attitude makes importance of believing.

Your best gift can be a problem! This force you to find a positive solution for your problem.

You may have had an economical problem; this can be hard to admit! Many people must go broke before they can understand what they have done wrong.

Remember, money is just a tool! …. A mechanic has tools to work with and if he is a professional, he will keep his tools clean and organized…. If your tool is money, use #Quality Thinking to organize and invest it wisely

We live in a world that revolves around money. We use it to buy or rent our home, pay for tuition, travel, and communicate using our mobile phones. People also use it to buy a car, have fun, and for hundreds of different things.   
But what is money exactly? Who is in charge? You or your dreams? Do you know the exact value of money?
Why do we need money?……..There are many answers!

“A man was locked up for bank robbery…. When he was asked; Why did you do it?… He answered, I had to!”

The man in jail had the courage to do it, but he used it badly. He needed money so hard that he only found a negative solution.

When you find your courage, us it with Positive Mental Attitude, for your success to use Positive Mental Attitude, you must Believe in yourself and know how to use it.

“You can if you think you can”!

Attitude and wealth.

*Smart people don’t get rich!

*To get rich takes time!

*You are your economy!

*There has always been crisis!

*Bad times are also God times!

*Money is a result! *Your mind creates action!

*To have courage helps you to wealth!

These are phrases used to motivate people at seminars by many speakers. But they are not any good to you if you are not ready to receive these messages. They must reach you when you are in your comfort zone.

Your attitude depends on if your mind will accept this information. You must be in the right Time-Zone!

What influences has the Spanish Ferias on Tourism?

What influences has the Spanish Ferias on people?
After a long absence due to the Covid, this year the Ferias has returned!
A get together feast that brings friends and family to be unified in this happy celebration. But you will also find groups of politics that will use the event in favor for themselves.
Business Owners can also use la Feria to extend their contacts in the substantial amounts of bar-stands where people gather.

Normally the Ferias will be planned for 3-4 days, which gives you lots of time to make follow ups and book meetings later.

One rule is to not talk business during this day’s, it is the time to enjoy yourself and forget the daily work.

Dressing should be casual or traditional clothing for the region. Just be careful with what you are drinking, most popular are Beers, Vine and Rebujitos (Be aware) You should always accomplish your drinking with a tapa (snack).

“The rebujito is a typical Andalucía alcoholic drink, which is prepared by mixing manzanilla wine, lemon-lime soda, mint, and ice. It is extremely popular and the most typical drink of the San Miguel Fair and other Andalusian fairs, and of many pilgrimages.”

At the time when I am authoring this article, the San Miguel feria in Vélez Málaga has just begun and at the first day I had a stroll around all the stands to meet up with people that I know. Even the local Major had time to talk for a while, that normally is difficult to achieve during workdays.

As I said earlier, a nice relaxing way to meet people.

Why I love the Hospitality business

The Hospitality trade has always been my favorite business for over 50 years. The reason that I love hospitality is that it allows everyone to enjoy quality, created by a multicolor of people divided in females and males. It is hard to find another trade that has this combination. Also, a way of living, where you meet people from the whole world enjoying what they have paid for.

My first years of experience was at 15 years when I signed on a cargo vessel as apprentice in the galley. This was starting from the bottom line, with hard and long hours, but I enjoyed it because we were always going somewhere. Finally, I visited over 50 countries as a sailor.

Followed up my years as a sailor, with a two-year education at the Hotel and Restaurant school, Hasselbacken, in Stockholm.

Emigrated 1968 to Australia where I only worked for Five Star Hotels, in towns like Brisbane, Surfers Paradise and Sydney.

At the return to Sweden, I bought a small hotel with eighteen rooms, with an a la carte restaurant and banquet hall.

I became the youngest hotel owner in Sweden, at that time.

Several years later, I was offered an advantageous position at the Hotel Scandinavia in Copenhagen, the same Western International group, as I had been working for in Sydney. Back to five stars hotel!

During the 80th I started Chef Food catering company, with specialties in sport events like Stockholm Open, Davis Cup, Ullna Masters Golf.

In 1990, the international economic collapse, made me move to Spain, for family reasons.

To start a new life in southern Spain was not easy, still if the climate helped to make it as a pleasure.

One day a good old friend called me to offer the opportunity to represent the sale of the Spanish hotel group Silken! This was a challenging task, as the group had economic problems at the time and were temporary owned by Blackstone!

My first thought was to connect with Pandox in Sweden, as I knew the CEO Anders Nissen from working together in the same company. As always Anders in his positive way, listened to my offer and asked for full information regarding the Silken group. Finally, Pandox turned down my offer, but I used this experience to later get involved in the sale of other hotels in Spain, under my company Meriton Holding. (Later Anders died under sad circumstances)

My specialty became seeking classic buildings that could be transformed into hotels as The Old Railway company building and the old post office, Equitativa, in Malaga now both renovated and opened as hotels. It has been a pleasure to see new 4- & 5-star hotels created in historic buildings.

Lately I am projecting a football university to accommodate up to 400 students #VMFU, in Velez Malaga, southern Spain.

People saying, Business first! But in my case, it’s Family first! My Grandson celebrates his 30th birthday today!

Today, the 14th of September 2022 my Grandson, Daniel Bergsten celebrates his 30 years birthday!

In 1992, Daniel was born in Almayate, a small suburban to Vélez Málaga here in southern Spain.

This is where my daughter Christina Bergsten mother to Daniel, have been living since. Christina was actually born in Australia 1969. But now a successful Real Estate business Owner in Nerja, Fastighetsbyrån, together with her sambo Johan. https://www.fastighetsbyran.com/sv/spanien/hitta-maklare/nerja/

The same year as Daniel was born, just one month later, Myself, his grandfather, open a Mexican restaurant Caramba, in Torre del Mar, next to Almayate. This was at time the first Mexican restaurant, east side to Málaga, and with lots of hard work together with my living partner Maria, we managed to received a Golden Plate reward in 2004.

Daniel grew up in a town-house along the main road, where when time allowed, I tried to visit him as often as possible.

Today and for the last 6 years, Daniel is the sole owner of Restaurant Caramba!

 This means that we are almost celebrate two 30 years birthdays at the same time.

Thanks to Christina, we are together to celebrate this Big Day of Daniel in the well-known restaurant Chin Chin in the Port of Caleta de Vélez.

  • Daniel has not only continued in my footsteps keeping the traditional Mexican recipes in Caramba, but also renewal of the Menu to suite the new generation. Well done!
  • Daniel has even started to practice Scuba diving, one of my favorite sports when I was younger. Sometimes family seems to keep its roots. But the importance will always be the future and what’s ahead of us.
  • It’s easy for me saying that I am a very proud Grandpa!

This will become a great day to remember ¡

Are you prepared for what might happen tomorrow?

Are you ready for the possibilities of tomorrow?

For the past 30-40 years, we have lived in an almost safe world. This causes humanity to relax and, not prepared for what can suddenly happen.

In 2019 came a surprising worldwide epidemic, which changed the behavior of most people. Then in early 2023, still struggling with the epidemic, Russia starts war with Ukraine, with the result of an uncontrolled food and energy prices.

Who among us was prepared for these two events? Where did our security go? And are there more dangers to expect?

I am not a negative person, but realistic. With a positive attitude you can cope with many problems, but you need to be prepared. An example, if you are going to start a business, you must calculate a certain setback.

It takes 3 years to establish a successful business, although some people believe it is as easy as activating a Tic Toc account.

During my active days, I have started over ten different companies, with a 60% exit rate.   other 40% turned into failures or mistakes but cannot blame other than myself!

Do not be afraid to act, its always better than doing nothing.

File all your fears, anger, and shame by forgiving the persons involved, even yourself. Give them you are understanding and let go of all emotions! Crack your fears! It is never too late to do all this! It does not matter what you say, it is what you do! If you do not release the anger, fear, and shame it will poison the brain for the rest of your life. Do not hesitate, it is all about understanding!

This will help you to be prepared when the next danger or crisis will come. The importance of understanding.

Take control over your brain, “think” with you hart!    Do not believe everything that your brain is trying to tell you. If you do not understand yourself, how can you understand another person?

Finally, it is all about You and how to survive in a world that will keep attacking with new threats. Take charge over Your situation!

Who will be the winner in 2023?

Everyone is talking about who will win the biggest victory in football,…. but what is behind this attention-grabbing crowd party?
The most important thing in football and other crowd-pulling events will always be the management and education of athletes. Next comes the financial participation, with sponsorship and support from the large sports industry and other leading international markets.

In today’s sport, there is great interest in the growing participation of women, in most group games. Behind most successes is the learning progress, which in many cases is conveyed by previously successful players in sports. Education is the only key to success, without difference between male or female participants. The public has already shown that the value of skill comes first.

In many cases, the problem with financial support to private education is failing. Major players in the market only want to bet on winning teams, without understanding that hundreds of hours of experienced people have been spent contributing to this success, which everyone wants to share. In most cases, local and state authorities cannot invest in privately owned educational companies. Therefore, the large private international investments firms ought to increase their investments in long-term academic and university education alternatives in the sports sector.

A fully developed football university has a cost to build that amounts to 50-70 million Euros, but can create a large number of successful players

This in long term, this will bring a change in the value of sponsorship, as audience figures are what the big companies study for future investments.

Everyone wants to sign contracts with stars, and finally the economic result will be the winner.!

Seawater for human consumption, by using desalination process.

Producing drinking water from Seawater can be an affordable solution when no other reliable source of fresh water is available. The investment costs will in most cases the most important consideration.

Another thing to considerate will indeed be the costs of chemical, and electrical consumptions for the driving operating costs. The material (water) is free, but has considerable costs.

I was once, in the 80th, involved in a study regarding the construction of a Desalination plant, together with an old friend who had knowledge in nuclear energy. Our ideas never got to be realized, because of a negative and” misinformed” government. But the idea of converting seawater into irrigation resource and for human consumption, always kept my interest and have tried to keep myself updated in this field.

Its not easy to build a Desalination plant, but the basic idea seems to be simple, like this drawing.

Depending on the local energy costs, the choice of energy recovery device can be critical. The investment costs are higher with a pressure exchanger, but electrical costs will be much lower.

In countries where energy costs are expensive, typically islands with no energy resources, costs savings with a pressure exchanger, are more significative.

Thanks to Energy Recovery Devices, it is possible to reuse the energy from the concentrate flow. The concentrate is directed to the ERD, where it directly transfers its energy to part of the incoming feed water.

Before entering the seawater reverse osmosis membranes, clarified seawater is pressurized by the High-Pressure Pump typically between 55 and 85 bars, depending on the temperature and the salinity of the water.

In 2014, The Southern Seawater Desalination Plant in Perth Australia had been installed by SACYR.

The total cost of 750 million Euro! With a capacity of 305.000m3 per day and cover nearly 30% of the water consumption in Perth (2 million inhabitants). located approximately 1,300 meters inland from the coastline. It includes an 8-meter high verge that runs 1,100 meters around the perimeter to conceal the Plant from nearby residents and minimize sound and light pollution. The plant is also run using 100% renewable energy.

In the area of Axarquia, only 30 km east of Malaga (Spain), la Junta Andalucia have made a study of a desalinationplant project, that has been discussed for many years, has finally been put on the table (2023). The main problem in this area, after long period without rain, is the large consumption for the irrigating a good part of the 13,000 hectares of avocados and mangoes that are estimated to be in the eastern region.

In my opinion, this solution should have been handled by the Spanish government. Not declared as only general interest of the Autonomous Community. (Latest update; The government has decided to handel the project, 2024, but with an investment of onlt 100 MM € !)

I will follow with large interest the development of this project nearby and keep you updated.

“Time Zone”,It all started when you were born!

The beginning of your life.

You came out of your “Zero Zone”! The life had begun, without having an idea about what you were going to experience.

From this day the daily time routine started, eat, sleep, play, eat, sleep, play …. etc.

While growing up, things were happening so fast, and you were not able to stop the time.

Later, thinking back, you wished that the time could have been slowed down, and being able to improve your lost time as young.

“Once I asked a good friend of mine if he knew what a Time Zone meant to him. He turned to me with a surprised look and told me, GMT+1, and when working in New York – 6 hours/CET.”

This is an answer you expect from a person that travel a lot and works in different geographic time zones.

But my way of describing Your #TimeZone, is different!

When you snap a finger, one second past and you will never be able to recover it again. It is Gone!

Your Time-Zones are, present, past, and future!

The history books learn you about the eras geological as, the Paleozoic, Mesozoic, and Cenozoic eras. But you can also read about the birth of Universe how it all started with a Bang and that it is still expanding. All this is hard to understand, but it is all about Time-Zones!

When I discovered that my life was divided in Time-Zones, I started a new way of thinking and planning.

Have you always used the time the way you wanted? If so, you are incredibly lucky!

 Your time can be like a “black hole” in universe, slowly dragging you in, if you do not control your Time-Zone!

“A black hole is a region of spacetime where gravity is so strong that nothing—no particles or even electromagnetic radiation such as light—can escape from it. The theory of general relativity predicts that a sufficiently compact mass can deform spacetime to form a black hole”.

Bill Gates is having some interesting toughs in his last Podcasts (2020).  He talks about how we believe things that we have little knowledge of.

“Why do we believe lies? Most modern societies place a high value on truth and honesty, but people don’t seem to resist falsehoods, from little white lies to vast conspiracy theories. Take Denmark, for example. No animal on Earth knows that Denmark exists in addition to humans. Denmark, like all other countries, including the United States, is an elaborate myth that we have collectively decided to believe. But this myth allows the Danes to organize a society that benefits their people. I also talk about COVID conspiracy theories, the role social media plays in spreading misinformation, and the only lie I choose to believe even though I know it’s not always true. We have a lot of fun trying to find out the truth about the truth.”

Conclusion: Do we really know what Time is, or is it something that we have been told as a conspiracy theory?

The secrets to the Time-Zone power:

You must learn how to recognize when you are in your Time-Zone, so that you can motivate yourself to feel this way at the right time, to use this important power.

 ” This is the first day in the rest of your life, what have past is gone forever”.

My age zones.

1.      0-3 years old……Without memories.

2.      3-6                 ……. Childhood.

3.      6-15               ……. Basic education.

4.      15-18             ……. Learning the hard way by working.

5.      18-25             ……. My first family experience.

6.      25-50             ……  My ups and downs.

7.      50-65             ……. When experience pays off.

8.      65-                  …… Start doing things that been pushed aside.

“Yesterday, I had lunch with Sir Richard Branson!”by Curt.

It all happened at one of his private islands in the Caribbean, the whole setting was just perfect. A nice breeze from the sea was sweeping up to the terrace surrounded by high palm trees. We were just to begin eating when Richard started to ask me about my opinion regarding alternative energy. I got nervous, because my idea was to present my private invention of a wind power tower!

Unfortunately, at just that moment, I woke up from my dream! I had been sleeping!

All what I had seen in my dreams had been so realistic, and I had to pinch myself to relies that it was just my imagination.

To be honest I have always admired Ricard Branson and even mentioned him in one of my      e-book Power your Time Zone, this was probably the reason that he got into my dreams.

Sir Richard Branson, born in 1950 only two years younger than me, is a great philanthropist that succeeded with almost all his futuristic projects. His two private islands in the Caribbean are just a proof of his philosophy, one made into a private holiday resort, mainly for his employees and the other island as his private getaway.

This emotion of mine, grow so strong that I just had to write it in my blog, to share with others. If only it had been true!
